Child Care - Day Camp - Preschool
Child Watch Service
Free babysitting service is available for children infant - 6 years old, (birth-kindergarten), while parents are using the YMCA facility or taking a YMCA class.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00-11:00 AM Tuesday & Thursday, 4:30-7:00 PM
All families using babsitting service must register children for use of this service.
YMCA Members Free babysitting 2 hours per day.
Non members $2.00 first child / $1.00 each additional child - 2 hours per day.

This program is designed to give first time golfers a basic introduction to the sport of golf.
In addition to swing fundamentals, youngsters are taught about the rules and etiquette of the game and even about
golf course maintenance throughout the weeklong clinic.
Participants will receive a new set of clubs at the conclusion of the clinic included in their registration fee.

Shooting Stars Basketball
(Ages 6 - 9 years)
YMCA Winners basketball program that teaches the basics through the new and exciting games approach.
Emphasis is on skill development, character development and fun.
Flag Football
(Ages 6 - 9 years)
A values-based program for 6 - 9 year olds designed to teach the skills and rules of the game in ways that make their participation fun and exciting.
The YMCA is providing a non-competitive league to enhance each player's ability to play, in the tradition-rich, school football program.
Grade School Basketball League
(Ages 7 -10 years)
Participants will be divided into two divisions for grades 2 & 3 and grades 4 & 5. This is the YMCA Winners League, which is a value-based, competitive program for children in grades 2-5. Players must register in advance and attend a mandatory skill evaluation. Games are played on Thursday or Friday nights and /or Saturday mornings. Practices will occur during the half-hour before their scheduled game time. Their coach will determine any additional practice time. Each team will have one scheduled practice prior to the start of their season.
Home School Gym & Swim
(Ages 5 - 14 years)
A unique action packed physical education program that offers 45 minutes of gym activity and 45 minutes of aquatic instruction. Gym activities focus on movement, physical fitness, muscle coordination and character development.
High School "NO BULL" 4 on 4 Basketball League
(Ages 15-18)
This basketball league is for anyone who did not play varsity or junior varsity basketball this year. Each team is required to have one specific coach who is 21 or older. Coaches must be present for every game and sign a coaches' code of conduct. This is a 4-on-4 league and rosters may not have more than eight players.
Little Champs
(Ages 3-5 years)
An introduction to sports including floor hockey, soccer, T-ball, and basketball. Your child will learn about working with others through sports, group game play, and different gym games.
Middle School Basketball League
(Ages 11-14 years)
Set similar to the Grade School Basketball League. Participants must pre-register for the league and attend the skill evaluation. Practices will occur during the half-hour before their scheduled game time. Their coach will determine any additional practice time. Games will be played on Friday evenings and/or Saturday mornings.
NFL Punt, Pass, Kick
(Ages 11-14 years)
Event will be held September 12 at Altro Park. Registration begins at 9AM and competition begins at 10AM. This is a nationwide football skill competition, developed by the National Football League. Participants may compete with the opportunity to advance. Call for details.
Start Smart Golf
(Ages 5 - 7 years)
A parent-child participation program designed for young children who have never played golf. Utilizes the SNAG Coaching System, a unique patented system that moves parent-child groups through four stations during one-hour sessions, once a week for 6 weeks. Uses positive reinforcement and FUN activities while teaching the participants the motor skills necessary to play golf.
Swim or Gym Parties
(All ages)
Make your next gathering a gym or swim party at the Lockport Family YMCA. We provide the refreshment room for one hour, one hour in our pool or gym, and lifeguard. You provide refreshments, chaperones, and up to 20 swimmers. Parties Friday or Saturday by reservation only.
3-On-3 Basketball Tournament
(Ages 8 - 16 years)
Create your own team of up to four players. Divisions will be based upon age and separate for both boys and girls. Tournament will be held in April at the Lockport High School.
Youth Fitness and Strength Training
(Ages 11-16 years)
This class teaches youth about strength training using cardiovascular conditioning and resistance training using moderate weight loads. This class runs 60 minutes twice a week.

Teen Night
Provide an opportunity for young adults to come to the YMCA for an evening with adult supervision and to use the facility to the max.
Teens may play games in the lobby, use the gym, swim in the pool, and take part is special activities.
School ID is required. Teens in grades 6 - 8 can participate.
