Fitness & Wellness Programs

ABC’s (Abs, Ball and Core Pilates)
Mat Pilates is a core exercise that strengthens abdominals and lower back while toning the entire body. This workout gets results!

Adult Open Basketball
Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM Member Only Open Basketball - come down with your friends or meet other basketball enthusiasts and enjoy some fun, fellowship and recreation.

Aerobics Classes
Join our certified aerobics instructors in a well-rounded total body workout. Classes combine high impact aerobic and step moves, muscle toning (with hand weights or bands), core abdomen workouts and stretching.

Active Older Adults (AOA) Fitness
(For ages 50+) Join us for fun and exercise in the fitness center. Cardio work, strength training and stretching to improve your posture and flexibility.

Ballroom Dancing
Jim & Dottie Timkey lead this exciting dance class. Meringe, Cha-Cha, Rumba and more. Singles and couples are encouraged to attend. Youth must be 16 to attend alone. 13-15 may attend with an adult. Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Winter and Spring Dance Events.

Cycle Reebok
Indoor group cycling class. Riders of all fitness levels enjoy a challenging cardiovascular workout. Cycle Reebok is easy on your joints but intense aerobic training. Learn Spin-Ups, Accelerations, Surges and Breakaways by a motivated, certified, Reebok cycle instructor to increase your stamina and strength.

Fitness Center Indoor Triathlon
Start training now, join our ongoing competition throughout the month of March. Compete individually or join your friends and compete as a team. Make it part of your workout throughout the year. All participants receive a free T-shirt. Event components: 2,500 meter row, 4-mile bike, and 1 mile run.

Growing Up Fit
An innovative and highly effective weight management program for children and their families with a mission to:

  • Empower families with knowledge to make healthy choices
  • To help families make positive changes in lifestyle which will enable each member to live a long and healthy life
  • To promote opportunities to come together as a family and spend quality time with each other

This ten-week program is designed to help children aged 7-15 years of age manage weight control issues through regular exercise and sound nutrition. This program meets twice weekly and is comprised of both educational and exercise components. A wide range of topics will be covered including the food pyramid, reading labels, moderation and proportion of servings, dining out, as well as strategies to stay motivated and make permanent lifestyle changes. Line Dancing
Dottie Ryder will be leading Line Dancing Lessons. Everyone is welcome, so come out and join the fun! Held Fall and Spring on Friday from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Special Spring Hoe-Down in the gym.

March Madness
Spring into fitness at the YMCA. Workout at least 30 days during the month of March and be eligible for prizes. Details TBA.

Personal Training
Get the results you want with a personal trainer. Sessions by appointment and for YMCA members only.

Racquetball League
The YMCA houses both a fall and winter racquetball league for men and women. Three divisions for players to choose from based on their ability and experience including a doubles league. Games are played once a week for 10 weeks.

Racquetball Tournament
The YMCA host winter racquetball tournament for men and women. Three divisions for players to choose from based on their ability and experience including singles and doubles events. Click to download Registration Information and Form.

Strolling
Parents now you can accomplish your fitness goals with your child in tow! Meet with other parents while walking outdoors. This is a great prenatal/postnatal class.

Yoga
Decrease your stress level, lower your blood pressure, and build your stamina, flexibility, and mental concentration. This is a peaceful and non-abrasive workout for your entire body.

Youth Fitness and Strength Training (ages 11-16 years)
This class teaches youth about strength training using cardiovascular conditioning and resistance training using moderate weight loads. This class runs 60 minutes twice a week.

Volleyball League
New this spring - 4-person Power League and 6-person Co-Ed Recreational Leagues. Create your own team and play competitively or recreationally. Power League plays on Mondays and Recreational League plays on Wednesday. All co-ed teams must have at least two women.
